In Case You Missed It from the Tenenbaum Law Team: What Do Population Losses in New York Mean for Residency Audits?

The largest population drop in the United States between July 2020 and July 2021 was in New York with over 300,000 residents. There are a number of effects that will take place, but the most immediate factor is the reduction in revenue for the state. As many flee to abandon the high tax rates of New York, they closely monitor who has actually changed their residency and who is falsely claiming they did.
